ChatGPT <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2024-09-12\/openai-releases-o1-model-with-reasoning-capabilities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">released its Reasoning<\/a> model called <a href=\"https:\/\/openai.com\/index\/introducing-openai-o1-preview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">o1-preview<\/a>. It\u2019s an early release, but it\u2019s the starting point of the move to AI Agents for OpenAI users.<\/p>\n<p><b>Why do we care? \ud83d\udc47\ud83c\udffc<\/b><\/p>\n<p>o1 is AI doing <b>Chain of thought prompting for you<\/b>. Over the next 12 months, it will become cheaper, faster, and more relevant.<\/p>\n<p><b>Which model should you use?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>For your day-to-day use, I\u2019m still using Chat GPT 4o and Claude. For more complex issues, I\u2019m testing o1. I\u2019m blown away 35% of the time and disappointed 65% of the time today because I\u2019m not a coder. If you code o1, it will be more important in your life.<\/p>\n<p><b>What\u2019s next?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>ChatGPT has been with us for two years this fall. It\u2019s OK to be overwhelmed with this pace of change.
