I\u2019m struggling.<\/p>\n

I watched a YouTube video this week that challenged my assumption on AI.<\/p>\n

My thesis is its AI and <\/b>humans.<\/p>\n

What if I\u2019m wrong, and it\u2019s AI or <\/b>humans?<\/p>\n

What does that mean for my daughter? My coworkers. My students.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a rough week. I (admittedly) haven\u2019t slept well.<\/p>\n

Do this thought experiment with me\u2026<\/p>\n

ChatGPT O1 has an IQ of 120<\/a> (intelligence is a wide, complex subject but let me run with the IQ #)<\/p>\n

Einstein had a reported IQ of 160 or better, and he was smarter than 99.99% of humans on the planet.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s assume the next release of ChatGPT is 10% better \u2013 or 132 IQ.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s assume that in a few years, you will have an AI agent with a 200 IQ.<\/p>\n

In a decade, a 1,320 IQ.<\/p>\n

You see my problem?<\/p>\n

My daughter is 3.<\/p>\n

At 13, having a world of 1,320 IQ autonomous agents needs more thought than I\u2019ve given it\u2026<\/p>\n

3 year olds will adapt.<\/p>\n

But my 40-year-old co-workers will need help.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t get some of them to use AI once <\/b>a week<\/b>.<\/p>\n

200 IQ could be the conservative case. The curve will likely accelerate as more capital<\/a> and smart people focus on building AGI.<\/p>\n

Look, I\u2019m generally a realistic optimist (you have to be to be as a serial Entrepreneur).<\/p>\n

But it was a hard week.<\/p>\n
