Struggling With Meta Ads? 😞

Read Time: 4 minutes

Guess what?

You’re not alone.

I see both big brands & solopreneurs struggling with their Meta ads.

My answer isn’t magic. It’s 10 steps with AI.

Here are 10 steps you can implement right now to increase your ads’ performance by 40%…

Better Ads in 10 Steps 🪄

Here’s my list of clear and actionable steps that you can implement right now, to create better ads with AI

1️⃣ Define Your Goals: Clearly outline what you want to achieve with your Meta ads (awareness, traffic, sales, leads, download, other event).

Use AI to analyze your past campaign results and competitors’ ads (save PDF’s from Meta Ad Library) and formulate your Ad test hypothesis.

2️⃣ Unlock Audience Insights with AI: Use AI-driven analytics to gather insights about your target audience’s behavior and preferences.

Use that data to meet your buyers where they are.

3️⃣ Choose Meta vs Instagram vs Threads or All: Research which platform your audience spends time on.

What content do they consume in each?

AI driven research can help identify current trends and suggest the most effective modifications to your ads.

4️⃣ Create Compelling Content: Ads are content.

I start with Midjourney or Dall-E prompts to storyboard and rough out concepts rapidly. I use ugly ads too.

10 or 15 ideas at a sitting!

5️⃣ Optimize Visuals: I use Canva AI to transform 3-5 storyboards into eye-catching visuals that resonate with my audience.

Canva’s easy editing saves me time on revisions and iterations.

6️⃣ A/B Testing: Then I use AI to automate the Ad Versions in a Google Sheet connected to the ChatGPT API (more on that on Friday).

We always have an A Version and a B, C, or N (as many as you have budget for) version that was AI-driven (by segment, platform, location, age, gender, weather, etc.).

7️⃣ Monitor Performance: Utilize AI analytics to continuously track ad performance daily.

This way, you can implement quick adjustments to improve results.

Automations of this kind are pretty easy to run:

Have a tagged email > Send to Zapier > Runs ChatGPT/Claude/AI of your Choice > Zapier Returns AI 📈Summary Ad email.

8️⃣ Rework Strategies: Based on your AI-driven insights, be agile in modifying what is working and what needs to be reworked.

Load working ads into ChatGPT and reports (via PDF) and ask it for other concepts.

Load non-working ads and reports too…

Sometimes GPT has good insights on why it did not work.

9️⃣ Budget Management: I use AI to monitor ad spending and costs, ensuring my budget is working hard to deliver your goal.

Bonus: Compare your spending to competitors’ for the same period by exporting the data from your ad spy tool of choice.

🔟 Learn and Iterate: After each campaign or every two weeks, employ AI to analyze data and gather insights. I make it make charts as I like visuals.

This helps you refine your approach for future marketing efforts.

Alec… I don’t have time for this. 😤

That’s why on Friday, we’ll dive deeper into how we use AI to improve your ad creation.
